Best Way to Clean Halloween Face Paint Makeup Stains from Carpet, Rugs & Upholstery in Alpharetta Georgia

The month of October is the start of the holiday season. The first one that the kids are most excited about is at the end of the month; Halloween. This is time when children and adults alike get to dress up in a costume of their choice and go from door to door to get some candy (or go to parties). When you have your kids dress up they might choose a vampire or a zombie. These costumes don’t just come to life until you add that face paint. The paint comes in all sorts of colors but the main thing they have in common is that they are full of chemicals that can cause a serious stain on your carpets, rugs and fabric upholstery. When the kids are all ready to go and waiting for the right time to leave they might get restless and because they are not used to wearing makeup they might lay on the carpet or sofa and cause the makeup to stain. You could also be adding the paint and drop some while you are at it.

D & M Carpet Cleaning has some cleaning tips that you can try to help remove the make-up stains

Remove Excess Makeup from Carpets or Upholstery: The first step that you need to take when you are trying to clean any kind of spot or stain on your carpet is to remove any excess that is laying in the carpet itself. This can be done with your fingers or you can use a paper towel to pick up as much as you can.

Treat Makeup & Face Paint Stains

: The next step is to collect the items that you are going to need. You need to collect two white wash rags and some cleaner that you know works on your carpet. It is important to get a rag that is white to ensure that the color of the rag does not end up coming off onto the carpet and making the spot even worse. Take the first wash rag and soak it in water and cleaner. Then take the rag and lay it over the area that needs to be cleaned. Allow it to soak on the spot for about five minutes then remove the rag and use it to blot at the stain. Repeat the process until the spot is gone. Then take the second rag and soak it in clean water to rinse the area that you just cleaned.
